Meet Our Ministry

Pastor Melissa Hart is an ordained elder of the United Methodist Church. Her education includes a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toledo, a Master of Education Leadership from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary. Her work experience is well rounded including years of working in education, business and finance, and as a photo journalist. She served in churches she attended as a lay person since she was a teenager, but she has served in Christian education and pastoral ministry as her vocation for the past 13 years at Trinity UMC - Bowling Green, St. Paul's UMC - Rising sun and Kansas UMC - Kansas, OH, before coming to Carroll.

Pastor Melissa was appointed to Shalom in 2022 and has loved serving both the congregation and Little Shepherds with her pastoral and education experience. She is a servant leader who believes in being hands on, serving alongside the people of Shalom and Little Shepherds. She also loves to spend time with her loving husband and son.
